Need to Know Information for Parents & Students

General Information:
WHO: Middle School & High School Students

WHAT: Study Hall & Tutoring Services - free wifi, access to computers, help with homework, safe place to study

WHEN: Wednesdays - 8:30am - 4:00pm

WHERE: CTK Skagit - South Auditorium (look for the "Kids & Youth" entrance)

WHY: Because we LOVE and BELIEVE in the YOUTH of Skagit Valley! 
COVID - 19 Procedures:
  • All participants are required to wear masks upon entry - masks may only be removed at designated/socially distanced desks when at least 6 feet away from others.
  • COVID-19 Assumption of Risk Waiver required for all participants upon FIRST check-in.
  • COVID-19 Screenings are required upon EACH check-in and may include temperature checks. 
  • All participants are required to check-in and check-out and provide emergency contact information. 
  • No food will be provided per state regulations - please bring your own lunch.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!
Tutors and Adult Supervisors for 2.5 hour + shifts. Background check request will be required for all 16+ year old volunteers.

FAQ's

Can students stay the entire time?

Yes!
Students may stay at the Study Hall all day. Campus is open from 8:30am-4:00pm.

Can my elementary student come?

No.
Unfortunately we are not able to accommodate elementary students at this time. 

Must Parents be present to check-in/check-out? 

Yes and no.
The first check-in requires documents that parents/guardians must sign before admission. Once those documents are submitted the student may check themselves in and out.

Will you make sure my student stays on campus all day?

No.
Study hall is an AT-WILL program: meaning volunteers are not responsible ensuring students stay on campus.
Parents/guardians may request a text notification upon student check-out.

Will you have Study Hall every Wednesday?

Almost yes!* Except for Holidays.
NO STUDY HALL:
  • November 25th - Thanksgiving Week
  • December 23rd - Winter Break
  • December 30th - Winter Break
*Study Hall closed days are subject to change

Is food provided?

No.
Due to state regulations we cannot provide food for students or volunteers. Everyone is encouraged to bring a lunch!

Can tutoring times be reserved?

Yes!
Students can sign up for designated tutoring in specific subjects.  Times subject to availability and are first come first serve.

Does this program cost anything?

No!
